It’s horrifying how cruel some people can be to animals. Recently, a dog named Leo was found in Nebraska with his head, tail, and legs wrapped in duct tape, abandoned in a dumpster. A passerby heard noises and called Animal Control, who rescued him just before the dumpster was emptied. Leo was in shocking condition, with food and debris matted in his fur. He was sedated at the Nebraska Humane Society, where staff removed the tape, revealing he was otherwise healthy and even wagging his tail.
Thankfully, Leo had a microchip, leading to a reunion with his relieved owner, Erin Dillon-Pasillas, who had been searching for him after he went missing days earlier. She was heartbroken over what her dog endured but grateful to have him back. Leo is now recovering and receiving care, but it remains unclear who is responsible. Authorities are offering a $1,000 reward for information. While the cruelty is unimaginable, Leo’s rescue and safe return bring a happy ending to a tragic ordeal. Please share this story.
