2 / Cruel fans label Jennifer Lopez ‘worst dressed’ as she wears disco ball outfit at 2024 Toronto Film Festival

The 55-year-old, undoubtedly going through a difficult phase, sported a striking metallic gown by Tamara Ralph. While eye-catching, the ensemble—which featured large sections of her sides exposed and was fastened with black velvet bows—didn’t win over everyone. In fact, the internet had a lot to say, and not all the comments were favorable. Many critics went as far as naming Lopez the “worst dressed” of the night.

Lopez attended the festival for the premiere of  Unstoppable, a film she worked on with Affleck. Unsurprisingly, Affleck was notably absent from the event, reportedly tied up with other work commitments.

Though Lopez has always embraced the spotlight, her disco ball dress seemed to push boundaries even for her. Almost instantly, social media lit up with mixed reactions, with some users posting harsh critiques.

One user cruelly commented, “[Definitely] a worst-dressed winner ?,” while another wrote, “It’s ridiculous. I feel like she showed no class with that dress.” A third chimed in, “Desperate times call for tacky dresses,” while another suggested, “She needs to take revenge on her stylist.”

Some even questioned whether the dress was appropriate for the event. One Facebook user commented, “This outfit just wasn’t suitable for the type of film being premiered.” Another added, “I admire her fitness and drive, but as a mom, I don’t think this outfit is appropriate. Plus, how could anyone move comfortably in that?”

The news of Lopez’s choice of attire comes on the heels of her divorce filing, which followed months of rumors regarding the strain in her marriage. The couple, once poised for a fairytale ending after their surprise Las Vegas wedding in 2022, had been seen without their wedding rings in recent months. Affleck was even rumored to have moved out of their Beverly Hills home, while Lopez canceled her tour, stating that she needed more time with her family.
